Brother Dalton, I’m going to miss you so much! You’ve been an awesome teacher to learn from, and history has been awesome! The day where you dressed up as Martin Luther was easily the most fun I’ve had in school. I think we can all agree that we will all miss you. Thanks for being an awesome teacher.

Brother Dalton, I have loved you teaching Liahona, as this is my 3rd year. We’ve made a lot of memories together, and you have made school way fun! I remember that time you used to teach Science while they were looking for a new teacher. You did REALLY well! Thank you so much for helping me through these years!

Brother Dalton, you are such an amazing teacher and friend. You teach us about providential events and people, but YOU are providential in my life. This is my 3rd year of being at Liahona, you have been my teacher and friend since year 1. You helped me learn more about our history, providence, and the hand of god in history. Thank you Brother Dalton, for helping me see the truth and thank you for bringing joy into history and my Liahona experiences.

Wow… it’s been a long time. First, it was brother DeGraff, now brother Dalton. I bet everyone’s kinda tired of people saying this but oh well, I’m saying it anyway. I’m sad to see you leave, but even though it’s sad, we can still see the light. This change, sure I might not like it, but change is what helps you grow. The world changes every day, history changes in people’s minds every day too, but you taught us history. As brother DeGraff once said; “Learn from history, not about it,” and I believe you did just that, you taught us our history, and we learned from it. As a wise person once said; “Don’t be sad to see me go, be happy that I was there.” now this is not to say that I’m happy you’re leaving, or not sad. I will miss the meterstick mallet (even though it left kinda a while ago), the test skeletons (even though those were already gone), the ‘not your normal joe shmoes’, the ‘it’s a great day to be alive’, and you too of course (or else I wouldn’t be writing this soooo yeah), and I think it’s safe to say it won’t be the same without you teaching. This is a new chapter in the lives of the DE’s, you, and everyone else. Not gonna lie, I kinda somewhat welcome it. And so, the gist of this super long paragraph of feels (which somewhat doesn’t make sense but oh well, I’m not the best at explaining things), is that you will be missed, I’m glad you were able to teach us, and that we should accept the things we feel we must do, even if it does include change. It’s a great day to be alive, so make the most of it, because you only have one life here. Live it and don’t look back. :)

I know you were followed by a great teacher, Brother Degraff, but you were still awesome. :) I can tell that you would always take time on each lesson and make sure we knew our stuff while still having fun. Thank you for teaching us and answering silly questions! It’s been fun and I know you’ll have success and hope that you’ll get what you need from this new job. It’ll be weird with you gone, but it’s time for a new chapter :)) SMILE!!
